The Lakeside Hotel is situated in a stunning location on the banks of the river Shannon proudly overlooking the twin towns of Ballina & Killaloe Co. Clare with its famous 13 arch bridge and 13th century cathedral

One of the premier restaurants in Clare offering a scrumptious array of foods from near and far allowing for elegant dining at affordable prices. Come along with your family and enjoy our extensive Sunday Lunch menu. The kids will love our childrens entertainer and colouring competitions. Served each Sunday from 12.30pm until 3pm.
Area Information.
St. Flannans Cathedral
The early monastery on this site at the southern end of Lough Derg was founded by St. Fachnan, and he was followed as Abbot by St. Flannan who died around 639. The Cathedral was founded about 1185 by Donal Mor O’Brien. The Cathedral incorporates some of the finest examples of Hiberno-Romanesque architecture.
Travel Information.
From Dublin:
Use the N7 Limerick road. When approximately 20kms from Limerick after the Nenagh bypass, Ballina/Killaloe is well signposted (as indeed is the hotel!), Take a right turn at the ‘four roads’ onto R496 sign posted Ballina. Travel for just under 4 kms and take a right at T junction onto R494 into Ballina. Pass Goosers Pub and the Church, at roundabout, take first exit to left and take next right turn at Molly’s bar, after traffic lights and before bridge crossing the Shannon River. Hotel is located 500m on left had side of Road.From Cork:
Use the N20 Limerick road. When nearing Limerick you will encounter a roundabout taking you onto Limerick bypass, follow signs for N7 Dublin and after Birdhill take a left turn onto R494 signposted Ballina/Killaloe. Travel 2.5kms into Ballina. Pass Goosers Pub and the Church, at roundabout, take first exit to left and take next right turn at Molly’s bar, after traffic lights and before bridge crossing the Shannon River. Hotel is located 500m on left had side of Road.
Cancellation Information.
Once you cancel your booking up to 48 hours prior to arrival you will not incur a cancellation fee from the hotel. Cancellations that are made within 48 hours prior to arrival and no shows at the hotel will be charged the 1st night of the stay to your card. Please note that your booking deposit is non refundable.

The hotel and it's grounds are lovely. The staff are very helpful and friendly, making our stay very enjoyable and relaxing. I willl certainly return.

Location of hotel is fantastic and just a short stroll to the pubs and attractions of Killaloe. The staff were friendly and superb to deal with both at reception and in the restaurant. We had dinner in the hotel and the choice and quality of food were great. We did not use the leisure center or gym but the pool looked lovely...... Our room was spacious and spotless with the bed being extremely comfortable and ensured a great nights sleep. Looking forward to coming back in the not too distant future

The Lakeside is a lovely hotel, we stayed for 1 night B&B with an evening dinner. Staff were really friendly, room was nice, clean and spacious, the only thing was the bathroom was a bit dated, could do with an over hall. Evening meal was also lovely, would return to this hotel again in the future
