Food Information.
Capitalising on its large windows and Terrace, the ambiance of Frederick's Restaurant at this Carlow Hotelis effortlessly fresh for the extensive Irish Buffet served in the morning, with a buzzing evening atmosphere at dinnertime.
Area Information.
A century and a half ago Frances F. Hayden wrote that the view of Co. Carlow from Mount Leinster was as wild, as romantic and picturesque a range of scenery as ever attracted the pen of a Byron, the pencil of a Reynolds or the genius of a Thomson.

We were warmly greeted at reception on our arrival at the hotel . Great Christmas atmosphere in the bar , service here was excellent . Very pleased with quality of food . Bedroom was comfortable & warm on a cold night ! Enjoyed my visit to the leisure centre which I feel needs an upgrade in the near future . Will visit Mt Wolselely again !

We enjoyed our stay at Mount Wolseley. It was a couple getaway. The front entry and lobby is very grand and spacious. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. We ate dinner in the Aaron Lounge, where the food was good and the service attentive. We ate Breakfast in the Frederick Restraunt, which was quite lenient in its closing time during the mid-term break. Selection was very good and the Gluten Free fare was appreciated, with separate toaster. We used the swimming pool on 4 occasions and the pool is adequate to do lenghts. The toilets in the male dressing area were smelly and somewhat neglected. Coffee dock area could do with an upgrade and updating. We played 9 holes of golf on the beautiful parkland course, designed by Christy O'Connor. We were plagued by some showers and it was very hard to find our balls in the slightly long rough just off the fairway, hampered further by the Autumn leaves. Our overall experience at Mt. Wolseley was very good and we will visit again. Thank you.

Had a lovely 3 day stay in the fabulous Mount Wolseley Hotel last week. Everything about the hotel was top class. Room, staff breakfast etc were all excellent. Would definitely recommend a visit to this hidden gem in Co Carlow.
